Oh My Gosh! It’s September 6th and Amazon has launched the Kindle Fire 2, or as it’s called the Kindle Fire HD. I guess instead of calling it “the fire” for short we’ll have to say “the fire hd” as many changes have occurred, just as suspected.
“The fires” ran out just in time for the launch of the better, newer and more awesome release: the Amazon Kindle HD! Wow! That was so perfectly timed that it’s like it was faked! LOL!
I’ve heard lots of praise and love for the nexus 7 which is back to selling for $199. We’ve heard praises for the nexus 7 from many, including praise from famigo. BUT (a really big but) Yahoo declared “the fire hd” to be the winner when it stands up against the nexus 7! Yes, Yahoo! And I quote:
Winner: Kindle Fire HD. We like the Nexus 7′s thoughtful design, but this one goes to Amazon.
CNET said that the 7″ has better resolution than the 8.9″. I can’t wait for their vs.-vs. as our family is a total CNET Family and trust them totally! Oh, and while we’re speaking about CNET, they were updating the article throughout the day. I wonder if they updated they’re review article on “the fire hd”…hmmm…
There’s so many specs that seem super-duper cool! I can’t wait to get my hands on it…I pray I could! Oh, and with this release, I can confirm that my predictions are correct? What predictions? The ones that I wrote as they things that it needs that will make us buy it. You can check out that post here—please comment!
Whispersync, X-ray & Immersion Reading are some features “you can’t find anywhere else”. Here’s a explanation from the Amazon website, itself:
X-Ray for Movies
Explore favorite characters and actors at a touch. Kindle Fire HD uses the power of IMDb to bring Amazon’s exclusive X-Ray service to movies. Simply tap on any scene to instantly see which actors are currently on screen, jump straight to other movies in which they star, and more.
X-Ray for Books
Tap on any page as you read to access X-Ray, an easy way to uncover more from the books you love. Instantly find chapters and locations that mention ideas, characters, and important places, as well as background info, biographies, and more from Shelfari and Wikipedia.
Experience Immersion Reading
With Immersion Reading, the Kindle Fire HD can now synchronize Kindle text with companion Audible audiobooks with real-time highlighting to create a more immersive reading experience, as well as deepen learning and comprehension. Almost 15,000 Kindle books and 15,000 companion Audible audiobooks across a wide array of genres are available.
Whispersync for Voice
Now you don’t have to put a good book down, even if you’re cooking, running or commuting. With Whispersync for Voice, you can seamlessly switch between listening to the Audible audiobook and reading the companion Kindle book right where you left off. Learn more
Whispersync for Movies
Start streaming a movie on Kindle Fire HD, pause, then resume watching straight from the same scene on your TV. Whispersync remembers your last scene watched across all your apps and devices, so you can avoid the frustration of having to find your spot.
Whispersync for Books
Kindle Fire HD uses Amazon’s Whispersync technology to automatically sync your library, last page read, bookmarks, notes, and highlights across all your devices. With Kindle reading apps available for phones, tablets, PCs, and Macs, you can keep the story going wherever you are.
Whispersync for Games
GameCircle titles with Whispersync automatically store your progress in the cloud, so you’ll never lose an unlocked level or saved game, even if you delete the game from your device.
There’s also so many ways to stay in touch! It’s awesome with a front-facing camera…but no regular camera—just like the nexus 7. Although, we don’t know how many megapixels yet, the nexus 7 is 1.2. Also, the fire HD has much faster wi-fi connection than the iPad 3 and nexus 7!
Looks like Amazon’s Lab did lots of work inventing their own 4G modem and the Dolby speakers! Dolby speakers are the very best but I’ve read that people don’t think Dolby speakers can be as good at such a small size…hmm…
Also, now when you visit Amazon, there’s two families: The Kindle E-reader Family and The Kindle Fire Family. Go check it out, CLICK HERE! Also, check out the Amazon homepage for their message on their new release and new family! Oh! Also check out all the videos! Go to the Kindle Youtube Chanel. For ease, here’s the paperwhite kindle commercial and here’s the kindle fire HD commercial! Although, to tell the truth, I like the 6 minute video on the amazon ordering-page, check it out here! I also enjoy the commercial that show’s up before the first look by Cnet and the video of the announcement—although, you should watch those too!
Another awesome thing is the multi-users! That’s awesome, no messing with other’s stuff! Another thing is that parents could limit kids’ tablet time…kids may see it as something bad, but the truth is that it’s awesome. Look at the bright side: you have your time, you won’t need to fight for it, huh?
I’m no expert, didn’t attend the conference and am not going to be test driving it within the week, so check out the links below!

I wanted to see how long I can continue to update my post…but I didn’t even post until now: 7:30! Man. that didn’t last long…I mean, at all! LOL! But, reviews and more information are sure to come tomorrow and the following days, right? I’ll try my best!
I’ve found lots of new posts and articles including a vs., vs. from CNET! Yay CNET! Actually it’s a which is right for you. It’s between the fire hd and the nexus 7…they say that they’re both awesome but for different reasons. Mainly because of the different specs. I’ve even found an article on the fire hd vs. the iPad and if the iPad is worth $200 more. The only problem I have with these articles is that they don’t just state why both are totally awesome or the winner like Yahoo! did.
