My Recycled Paper and Plastic Flower Pot

Recycled Paper and Plastic Flower PotRecycled Paper Plastic Flower PotI cut up a green straw and I was sitting next to my mom. I thought of getting her a flower from our backyard, but instead I thought I’d try to make one. So, I looked through my mom’s kitchen drawer and found post it notes.

I started to twirl them up and taped them together to make the petals of a flower. Then, I wanted to make another; but I didn’t want another pink flower so we had smaller orange post it notes so I taped some onto the big pink ones to make a pink and orange flower.

There was an plastic cup in the sink, so I washed it and made it a pot. To make the dirt, I needed something brown; so I saw the ripped up paper brown bag in my box of recyclables. So, that made the dirt.

I wanted to find some rocks, so I went to our backyard. I couldn’t find any rock, so I got sand instead of rocks. I put them all together and placed it on our glass living room table right in front of my mom, where she was still sitting when I thought of making it.

I look forward to hearing about your recycled art projects! Please share your ideas and creations in the comments below.
